JAWOLL SILK - Where Luxury Meets Legacy

Fall in love with JAWOLL SILK - LANGYARNS exquisite blend that combines the celebrated Corriedale wool with something truly special - wild Tussah silk. This isn't just any silk - it's gathered from free-living Japanese oak silk moths, making each thread uniquely strong and beautiful. A single cocoon creates an amazing 1200-1400 meters of silk thread!

The Luxury in Every Fibre:

  • Premium Corriedale wool from Patagonian sheep
  • Rare wild Tussah silk for extra strength and sheen
  • Incredibly soft 25-micron wool fibres
  • Stunning colour absorption for vibrant shades
  • Superior resistance to pilling
  • Machine washable (yes, even with silk!)

Corriedale sheep roam freely in the pristine wilderness of Patagonia, where the natural environment works its magic on their wool. The sparse vegetation actually helps create wool that's perfect for dyeing, giving us those brilliant, lasting colours you love.

While JAWOLL SILK makes incredibly luxurious socks, don't stop there! This special blend is perfect for:

  • Heirloom baby knits
  • Elegant shawls and scarves
  • Sophisticated garments
  • Any project where you want that extra touch of luxury

Experience the magic of wild silk combined with our finest wool - your hands, feet and needles deserve this treat!

Each 50g ball makes one sock.

Yarn Composition: 55% Wool superwash and 25% Nylon  20% Silk

Length: ~200m

Ball Weight: 50g

Yarn Weight: Sock

Needle Size: 2.5 - 3.0mm

Tension: 30 stitches and 41 rows in stocking stitch to make a 10cm / 4 inch square

Washing: Machine wash up to 40˚C - wool detergent - no softener.

What is Superwash?

Ever wished you could just toss your hand-knits in the washing machine? Well, now you can! LANGYARNS Superwash make caring for your woollens as easy as can be.

What Makes Superwash Special? Think of it as giving your wool a protective shield! Through a clever process, the tiny scales on the wool fibres are smoothed out (those troublemakers that cause shrinking and felting). The result -  wool that stays beautiful wash after wash, with an extra touch of softness and a lovely subtle sheen.

Easy Care Instructions:

  • Pop it in the machine at 40°C
  • Don't add softener.
  • Use the wool/gentle cycle
  • No stress about shrinking or felting
  • Your knits come out soft and beautiful every time

Perfect for:

  • Busy knitters who want easy-care garments
  • Children's clothes that need frequent washing
  • Anyone who loves wool but worries about washing

Superwash gives you all the warmth and comfort of wool, with none of the washing worries. It's wool made wonderfully simple!
