Clover Logo

Clover began when Toshio Okada, aged 14, worked for a needle wholesaler. Using a clover leaf as a bookmark inspired the name. In 1925 he opened his own needle shop, later expanding into manufacturing.

Today Clover, based in Osaka, Japan, produces knitting and crochet tools to exacting standards, guided by the philosophy: “Make people around the world happy through handmade.” Their factory, ISO 14001 certified for low environmental impact, upholds strict quality control, while the company also champions diversity and equality within its workforce.

McIntosh is a boutique wool and haberdashery company based in London.
I’m James McIntosh, a one person business.
I hand-dye all McIntosh wools to order and personally pack every knitting and crochet item sold and send them to McIntosh customers all over the world - in plastic-free, 100% recyclable and FSC® certified packaging - naturally.
