Yarn Composition: 100% British Bluefaced Leicester Wool

Yarn Weights: 4-Ply

Length: ~400m / 437 yards

Skein Weight: 100g / 3.5oz

Needle / Hook Size: 3mm / US 4

Tension: 28 stitches and 36 rows to make a 10cm / 4 inch square

Washing: Hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.

A note on colour: Colours can appear differently under changing light and across electronic screens. As every skein is hand-dyed, slight variations between skeins and dye batches are part of the yarn’s unique character.

I'm so glad you enjoyed knitting with our wool. Sadly nylon wont be added at McIntosh as we only sell natural fibres. We are looking at natural alternatives to synthetic fibres for socks...

I have no knitting experience with BFL 4-ply. It feels like superwash, (supersoft) but that is not mentioned anywhere on the website. Also got no washing-instruction labels. Colors are beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful yarn! I think McIntosh yarn has to be my favourite yarn out of all of them. The BFL I purchased is so soft and the colours are gorgeous. I love winding it up too, which can sometimes take forever with other yarns, it never gets into a tangle and so is done in the flash. Very happy, thank you.
