European Union (EU) Right of Withdrawal & Returns Policy

This policy applies only to customers whose delivery address is within the European Union (EU). It operates in addition to any other statutory consumer rights that may apply under local law.

1. Right to Cancel

If you are purchasing as a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to cancel your order without giving any reason.

You may cancel your order at any time before it has been fulfilled and dispatched.

To exercise your right to cancel, please contact us at:

2. Right of Withdrawal After Delivery

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order.

Where an order is delivered in multiple consignments, the 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you receive the last item in the order.

The withdrawal period is extended to include weekends and public holidays where applicable.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us in writing before the 14-day period expires.

3. Returning Goods

Once you have notified us that you wish to withdraw from the purchase, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and they must arrive back with us un-opend and in a re-saleable condition.

Email [email protected] for returns instructions.

You are responsible for arranging and paying for the return of the goods. We can not be liable for items lost in the post.

We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service, as returned items remain your responsibility until received by us.

4. Condition of Returned Goods

Returned goods must be unopened and in a condition suitable for resale.

We reserve the right to reduce any refund where goods have been used, damaged, altered, opened, or handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.

5. Return Shipping Costs

The original shipping charge paid when placing the order is non-refundable.

The cost of returning goods to McIntosh is the responsibility of the customer.

6. Restocking Fee

A restocking fee will be deducted from all refunds made under this EU withdrawal policy.

The restocking fee will be:

10% of the original retail value of the returned goods, or £4.99, whichever amount is greater.

This fee reflects the administrative and handling costs associated with processing returned merchandise and will be disclosed to customers before purchase.

7. Refunds

Once the returned goods have been received and inspected, any refund due will be processed using the original payment method.

Refunds will be made less:

  • Any applicable restocking fee;
  • Any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods;
  • Any non-refundable delivery charges as described above.

8. Exclusions

The right of withdrawal may not apply to certain goods where permitted by law, including but not limited to:

  • Goods made to the customer's specification or clearly personalised;
  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • Digital content supplied electronically where performance has begun with the customer's consent.

9. Business Customers

This EU Right of Withdrawal Policy applies only to consumers purchasing for personal use. It does not apply to business-to-business transactions.
