Opal Sock Yarn - Wild Nature

Remember the breathtaking beauty of an untouched landscape?

Now Opal brings that same natural wonder to your knitting with their spectacular Schafpate 17 - Wild Nature collection! This ingenious self-patterning yarn creates stunning colour transitions that'll have you wandering through nature's most beautiful scenes with every stitch.

Each colour-way in this collection captures a different facet of the natural world. Just like how each landscape tells its own story, every project with this yarn creates its own unique pattern. Each 100g ball contains enough yarn to craft a complete pair of adult socks – your own wearable tribute to the great outdoors!

This collection brings the wilderness to your needles with a range of nature-inspired hues. From serene blues and earthy greens to delicate pinks and vibrant purples, each shade evokes the beauty of wild landscapes. Some colorways capture sunlight filtering through forest canopies, while others burst with the colors of blooming meadows.

This thoughtfully crafted wool blend ensures your finished socks will be wonderfully soft yet tough enough for your own adventures through nature's paths.

Ready to bring the wild beauty of nature to your knitting basket? Add these captivating colour-ways to your cart and let the natural world inspire your creativity!

Opal - a family company.

The Zwerger family formula is simple.  Be the best at what they make, employ local families and train them to be the best. Putting sustainable production always as their highest priority.  Supporting sheep farmers, ensuring all of the wool is ethically sourced and then adding colour, design and joy into every ball.

Back in the day the Zwerger family invented the process for mass producing self-striping wool. Today they are the leaders in global sock wool. Put both together, and yarns depicting the great painters of Europe like Hundertwasser, Van Gogh and others, self-stipe to make a masterpieces on your feet.

Why not sponsor a sheep that your Opal socks could come from with their Schafpate project?
