These Terms apply to your use of the Sites and to any purchase you make from us. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites or place an order.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Using our Sites
1.1 Who may use the Sites. You must be 18+ to place orders. If you buy on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
1.2 Changes. We may update these Terms, product details, prices and shipping options from time to time. Changes apply prospectively.
1.3 Availability & accuracy. We work hard to keep descriptions, stock status and pricing accurate, but minor errors or omissions may occur. Colours may vary by screen and dye lot (see Section 10).
1.4 Intellectual property. All content on the Sites is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may print or download content for personal, non-commercial use only. No licence is granted to use our trade marks.
1.5 User conduct. Do not misuse the Sites (e.g., introduce malware, bypass security, or attempt to disrupt). We may suspend or remove access for misuse.
2. Important health notice
We care about mental health, but Knititation®, Mindful Knitting® and related practices are not medical treatment. Always consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns. Your use of related content is at your own discretion.
3. Our products & pricing
McIntosh operates in compliance with UK consumer law including the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, and strives for transparency, fairness, and integrity in every transaction.
3.1 Descriptions & images. McIntosh complies with the standards of professional diligence expected under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, ensuring honest market practice and fair treatment in all transactions. McIntosh will never use coercion, harassment, or misleading omissions in marketing or sales.
We use reasonable endeavours to provide product details that are approximate and accurate. Manufacturers may update specifications, packaging and component materials without notice. Images are for illustration purposes only; colours may vary by screen and dye lot (see Section 10). Where contents/quantities matter (e.g., bundles), the written description prevails over images.
3.2 Prices, currency, taxes & delivery. Prices are displayed in your local currency, or the set location of a Virtual Private Network you may be connected to, where available (otherwise shown in GBP). The currency used to charge you is confirmed at checkout before you pay.
- For UK customers, prices include UK VAT where applicable. VAT invoices are available after purchase upon request by emailing [email protected].
- Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout.
- For deliveries outside the UK, local taxes, duties and clearance fees are not included unless we say otherwise.
- USA orders: any duties/tariffs (if applicable) will appear as a separate line item at checkout.
- Your card or payment provider may apply its own currency conversion and charges.
3.3 Price changes & errors. We may change prices at any time before you place an order. Once your order is submitted, the price you see at checkout will not change for your order. If we spot an obvious error in price or description before dispatch, Section 4.6 applies.
3.4 Promotions, coupons & sale pricing. Promotions, discount codes and sale pricing are subject to availability, may be time-limited, region-specific, and can be withdrawn at any time. Unless expressly stated:
- One code per order; codes can’t be combined with other offers, gift vouchers or sale items.
- Minimum spend, product/category exclusions or usage caps may apply.
- Discounts/coupons must be applied at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retrospectively to completed orders (see Section 4.9).
- “Free delivery” or other incentives may exclude heavy/oversize items.
3.5 “Was/RRP” pricing & savings. Any “Was” price reflects a genuine prior selling price for a reasonable period, or the RRP set by the brand/manufacturer (as labelled). Savings shown are calculated against that “Was” or RRP at the time the promotion is run.
3.6 Subscriptions. If McIntosh introduces any subscription service (e.g. yarn clubs or pattern boxes), full pre-contract information, renewal notices, and an easy online cancellation option will be provided in line with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
4. Ordering & contract formation
4.1 Placing an order. Adding items to your basket and completing checkout constitutes a purchase by you. Please check your order carefully before submitting it. By clicking “Place order” you are contracting to buy the goods on these Terms.
4.2 Order acknowledgement (not acceptance). After checkout we’ll email you an order acknowledgement. This confirms we’ve received your order but does not create a contract.
4.3 Checks & pre-authorisation. We (and/or our payment provider) may run standard checks (including address and fraud screening). We may place a pre-authorisation on your payment method. We can decline or cancel an order if a check cannot be completed or is not passed. Any payment taken will be refunded if we do not accept your order. We reserve the right to refuse to sell to you.
4.4 Acceptance & when the contract is formed. Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed only when we dispatch the goods and send you a dispatch confirmation/invoice. If your order contains multiple items dispatched at different times, each dispatch forms a separate contract for the relevant item(s).
4.5 Availability, backorders & pre-orders.
4.5.1 All orders are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you place your order, we will notify you and offer a revised delivery date, a suitable alternative, or a refund for the unavailable item(s).
4.5.2 Pre-orders. Pre-order dates for products are best estimates. Although we will use reasonable endeavours to ensure our estimated arrival date is as accurate as possible, this is a provisional date and is subject to change as we receive further delivery information from the supplier. We will keep you updated. If the revised timing no longer suits, you may cancel at any time before dispatch for a full refund.
4.6 Pricing & obvious errors. We take care with prices and descriptions, but mistakes can happen. If we discover an obvious error in price or description before dispatch, we may cancel your order (or the affected item) and refund you, or contact you so you can choose to proceed at the correct price.
4.7 Payment. We accept all major debit/credit cards and certain wallet methods (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), plus Klarna, PayPal, Crypto (USDC Stablecoin) and Shopify Credit. Payments are processed by Shopify. We do not store full card details. Where applicable, Strong Customer Authentication (3-D Secure) may be required. Prices are in GBP and include UK VAT where applicable.
USA orders: any duties/tariffs (if applicable) will be shown as a separate line item at checkout.
4.8 Amendments & cancellations after checkout. Once paid, we generally can’t amend orders (including adding discount codes). If you need help, email [email protected] immediately—if your parcel hasn’t left us, we’ll do our best. Your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations remains unaffected (see Returns).
4.9 Discounts, coupons & retrospective changes. Discount codes, coupons and promotional pricing must be applied at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retrospectively to completed orders. Unless expressly stated, only one code can be used per order and codes cannot be combined with other offers, sale items or gift vouchers.
4.10 Quantity limits & fair use. We may limit quantities per order/person/household and decline orders that appear to be placed for resale, are duplicative, or otherwise breach fair-use (for example, using multiple accounts to bypass limits).
4.11 Delivery addresses. We may refuse delivery to PO boxes, freight forwarders or addresses we reasonably consider insecure or unsupported. If so, we’ll contact you to arrange an alternative or refund.
5. Delivery
5.1 When we ship. We dispatch Monday to Friday (excluding UK public holidays).
5.2 UK delivery options & prices (guide) and subject to change without notice.
- Royal Mail Tracked 48: £4.99 on orders under £100.
- Free Royal Mail Tracked 48 on orders £100+.
- Royal Mail Tracked 24: £7.99.
- UPS Tracked (courier): £10.00.
5.2.1 Supplier lead times for selected yarn brands. For certain brands — including LANGYARNS, WOOLADDICTS by LANGYARNS, Schoppel, LOPI (and similar ranges we state on the product page) — we order from the manufacturer when you order from us.
- Please allow up to 10 working days for these yarns to arrive with us before we can dispatch your parcel.
- This lead time is in addition to the courier/transit times in Sections 5.2 and 5.3.
- If your basket mixes in-stock and on-demand items, we may hold the order to ship together or, at our discretion, split ship (see 5.5). We’ll keep you updated by email.
5.3 International delivery (we ship globally).
- United States: Any tariffs/duties are collected at checkout and your parcel ships via Royal Mail using DPPD (Postal Delivered Duties Paid), so there should be no extra fees on delivery.
- All other countries: £30 flat rate per order (outside the UK). Unless we say otherwise at checkout, local import duties, taxes and clearance fees are payable by you on receipt in the destination country. If products are returned to us due to non-payment of duties/taxes we reserve the right not to refund the items.
5.4 Timings. Delivery times are estimates. Delays can occur (e.g., carrier backlogs, customs, weather). We aren’t liable for delays outside our reasonable control (see Section 15).
5.5 Pre-Orders.
Some products on our website are available to purchase on a pre-order basis. This allows you to reserve items before they are physically in stock.
By placing a pre-order, you agree to the following:
- Estimated delivery dates are guidelines only. The dispatch date shown on the website is an estimated timeframe provided by our suppliers and may change without prior notice.
- We cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date. While we always do our best to meet expected timelines, factors such as supplier delays, customs, transport issues or manufacturing schedules are outside our control.
- McIntosh accepts no responsibility for delays in the arrival of pre-ordered stock from suppliers.
- Orders will be shipped as soon as all pre-ordered items arrive. If your order contains in-stock and pre-order items, the entire order will be held and dispatched together unless you request and pay for separate shipping.
- You are welcome to cancel your pre-order at any time before dispatch for a full refund. Once the item has shipped, our standard returns policy applies.
5.6 Split shipments. Items in the same order may ship separately.
5.7 Risk & title. We deliver all orders to the address provided at the time of purchase. McIntosh cannot be held responsible for non-delivery or delays resulting from an incomplete or incorrect address supplied by the customer. No refund or replacement will be issued in cases where an incorrect address has been provided. Risk passes upon delivery. Title to goods passes when we receive full payment. Responsibility for the goods passes to the customer once they are delivered to the address provided. Until that point, McIntosh bears the risk of loss or damage.
6. Your consumer rights (statutory)
6.1 Right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and reaffirmed and expanded in 2024). If you’re a consumer, you may cancel your contract within 14 days of (a) delivery of the goods, or (b) the last delivery in a multi-shipment order. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
6.2 How to cancel. Email [email protected] with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
6.3 Condition on return (what handling is okay). You may handle goods as you would in a physical shop to check their nature, characteristics and functioning. Please return items complete with all labels and packaging. To avoid diminished value deductions:
- Do not remove or open yarn bands/labels.
- Do not cast on, knit, crochet, wind, wash or otherwise craft with yarn/wool you intend to return.
- Keep packaging intact and in good condition (you may open outer packaging carefully for inspection).
If goods are returned showing use beyond normal shop handling (e.g., opened/removed yarn bands, crafted-with yarn, missing labels, yarn has been unwound), we may make a reasonable deduction from your refund to reflect the reduced value, as permitted by law.
6.4 Refunds. We’ll refund the item price and the standard UK delivery cost (if any) within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or receiving evidence that you’ve sent them), to the original payment method for any reason providing they are unopened. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of £4.99 or 10% of the retail price, whatever is greater.
6.5 Return postage & proof of posting. Unless we’ve sent incorrect goods or the goods are faulty (see Section 7), you pay the return postage and are responsible for the goods until we receive them. It is your responsibility to obtain tracking information and/or a certificate of posting. We strongly recommend a tracked service and retaining proof until your refund is processed.
6.6 Exclusions. Your statutory right to cancel does not apply to:
- Digital content after download/streaming has begun with your express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right to cancel;
- Personalised or made-to-order items; for the avoidance of doubt, this includes McIntosh hand-dyed wool.
- Sealed items not suitable for return for health/hygiene reasons once unsealed.
Note on printed patterns/books: These are generally not exempt from statutory cancellation unless personalised; your 14-day right may still apply even if opened, subject to reasonable shop-equivalent handling.
6.7 LANGYARNS and WOOLADDICTS by LANGYARNS pattern kits — PDF downloads
The downloadable PDF pattern supplied with each LANGYARNS or WOOLADDICTS by LANGYARNS pattern kit is priced at £6, included in the total kit price.
Once supply of the digital pattern has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you will lose your 14-day right to cancel that digital content, the £6 pattern charge is non-refundable if you change your mind.
Before we supply the PDF pattern during the 14-day cancellation period, we will ask you to give this consent and acknowledgement by actively selecting a separate, unticked checkbox. Purchasing the kit or accepting our general Terms and Conditions alone does not constitute this consent and acknowledgement. We will confirm your consent and acknowledgement in your order confirmation.
If you exercise a statutory right to cancel and return the physical items in your kit, the £6 charge for the PDF pattern will be excluded from your refund only where the above requirements have been met. Your statutory cancellation rights for the physical items remain unaffected.
This clause does not limit your statutory rights or remedies where the digital pattern or physical items are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.
7. Faulty goods, guarantees & yarn quality (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
7.1 Your statutory rights (summary). If a product is faulty or misdescribed, contact us promptly at [email protected]. You have a short-term right to reject within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. After that, we will offer a repair or replacement (or, if that’s impossible or disproportionate, a refund) in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
7.2 Postage where we are at fault. If we agree an item is faulty or wrongly delivered, we’ll refund the original delivery charge (standard rate) and reasonable return postage. Please contact us first for a prepaid label or instructions.
7.3 Manufacturer guarantees (in addition to your statutory rights)
KnitPro / Lantern Moon
- Products are guaranteed for 12 months against manufacturing defects.
- If one needle (or a single component) fails, the affected item is replaced like-for-like; the entire set is not replaced.
- Exclusions: wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, modification, exposure to extreme conditions, cosmetic marks that do not affect function.
Addi
- Addi products carry a 10-year manufacturer guarantee against manufacturing defects (Addi Express machines and related accessories: 5-year guarantee).
- Remedies are typically repair or replacement of the faulty component rather than the full kit/machine.
- Exclusions: as above (wear and tear, misuse, unauthorised repair, etc.).
How to claim a manufacturer guarantee
- Email [email protected] with order number, photos/video of the issue, and a brief description.
- We’ll guide you through next steps and, where needed, liaise with the manufacturer. Proof of purchase is required. In some cases the faulty part must be returned for inspection/testing.
- All manufacturers’ guarantees are subject to changes at their sole discretion at any time.
7.4 Knots in yarn — industry standard & our approach
We understand knots in hand-knitting yarns are frustrating and we aim to keep them to a minimum. However, knots can occur at various production stages and cannot be eliminated entirely.
- Industry guidance: up to three knots per ball is considered acceptable. Within a pack of 10 balls, typically only one ball should be affected; multiple knot-affected balls in the same pack would be outside the norm.
- What we’ll do: if you receive yarn that falls outside the norm (e.g., several balls with multiple knots in the same pack), please email [email protected] with photos and the ball bands. We’ll review case-by-case and offer a sensible remedy (for example, replacement of affected balls, partial refund, or store credit), bearing in mind project needs and dye-lot availability.
- Note: A small number of knots within the industry tolerance is not treated as a fault, but we still want you happy—talk to us and we’ll try to help with practical workarounds (e.g., skein alternation, joining tips).
7.5 Returns logistics (for faults/guarantees)
- Please contact us first so we can issue instructions and, where appropriate, a prepaid label.
- Pack items securely; include all parts that relate to the fault.
- Keep proof of posting/tracking until your claim is resolved.
8. Our 60-day goodwill return (in addition to your statutory rights)
8.1 Goodwill window. Separately from your 14-day statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, we offer a “60-day no-quibble” goodwill return for unopened, saleable items (original, undamaged packaging; yarn bands intact, unused products).
8.2 Exclusions. Our 60-day no-quibble goodwill guarantee does not apply to LANGYARNS or WOOLADDICTS by LANGYARNS pattern kits, including their yarn, downloadable PDF patterns and other kit contents. It also does not cover opened skeins, balls or cakes, removed yarn bands, patterns (digital or print), personalised items, or any item marked non-returnable.
These exclusions do not affect your statutory rights, including any applicable 14-day right to cancel purchases of physical goods and your rights where goods or digital content are faulty or not as described. The £6 PDF pattern charge is subject to Section 6.7.
8.3 Costs. You pay return postage and remain responsible for the goods until received. We strongly recommend tracked postage and proof of posting.
8.4 Processing. Refunds to the original payment method on receipt and inspection (typically within 14 days).
9. Business customers (B2B)
If you purchase in the course of business: (a) the Consumer Contracts Regulations do not apply; (b) we exclude to the fullest extent permitted all implied terms; and (c) our liability is capped at the price paid for the goods, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
10. Colours, dye lots & handcrafted variance
10.1 Colour variance. Screen displays vary. Shades may differ by dye lot; we cannot guarantee dye lot matches unless expressly agreed.
10.2 Hand-dyed yarns. Each skein is unique; variation is a feature, not a fault. For larger projects, alternate skeins every few rows for a blended result.
11. Gift vouchers, credit notes & discount codes
Gift vouchers are valid for 365 days from purchase, are non-refundable and have no cash alternative. A voucher may be used once per order and can be redeemed across multiple orders until the balance reaches zero. Please keep your email and code safe; if a voucher is lost or used without permission, we cannot replace any value already redeemed. Unless we state otherwise, gift vouchers cannot be used to pay delivery charges.
Credit notes and discount codes are non-transferable and may carry an expiry date. Only one code may be used per order and codes cannot be applied retrospectively to completed orders. Unless expressly stated, discount codes cannot be used to pay delivery charges and do not stack with other discounts, multi-buy promotions or sale/clearance pricing.
For any questions about vouchers, credit notes or codes, please contact [email protected].
12. Promotions (including the 5% welcome code)
We may change prices for special offers and sales without notice. If you purchase at full price and the price is later reduced, we will not refund the difference unless there are extenuating circumstances. We may end promotions and discount codes at any time. Discounts and coupons must be applied at checkout; we cannot add them later. Promotions can be time-limited and region-specific. Only one discount code can be used per order, and a discount code cannot be used in conjunction with another special offer such as a buy-one-get-one-free or free-item promotion. You may, however, take advantage of more than one special offer in the same order where those offers do not require a code, do not conflict with each other and stock is available. Exclusions may apply, including but not limited to Clearance, Shop Soiled, Bundles and clearly flagged Promotional Products. Postage discounts or free-delivery codes do not apply to sale or clearance items unless we expressly say otherwise.
Our welcome newsletter offer provides 5% off for first-time online customers with a minimum order value of £75 after other discounts and before shipping. The code is single-use, non-transferable and expires 14 days after issue. If returns take the order below £75, we will adjust the refund to remove the discount. We may amend or end this offer at any time. If you unsubscribe and then resubscribe to our mailing list to obtain the discount the new code will become invalid.
If you return one item from a “buy one get one half-price” promotion, we will refund the returned item and re-price the kept item at full price; the refund will be adjusted accordingly. If you return all items from the same promotion, you will receive a full refund subject to our condition-of-returns requirements. Items marked “Shop Soiled” are sold as seen, priced accordingly and are exempt from the standard refund policy, without prejudice to your statutory rights in cases of misdescription or non-conformity.
From time to time we run limited-date promotions with additional terms (for example, loyalty bonuses available to the first 100 orders, with credits added 30 days after purchase and cancelled if the qualifying order is cancelled). Such campaign-specific terms will be stated alongside the promotion and prevail over this Section 12 to the extent of any conflict.
For promotion enquiries, please email [email protected].
13. Competitions
Competitions are promoted by James McIntosh Omnimedia Limited (company no. 09113481), 42 Denman Road, London, SE15 5NR, United Kingdom (the “Promoter”). Unless we state otherwise, entry is open to UK residents aged 18 or over; employees, contractors and representatives of the Promoter (and their close family members) and anyone professionally connected with the competition are not eligible. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary. By entering, you agree to be bound by these terms and any additional rules stated in the specific competition post or page.
How to enter, the route to entry and the opening and closing dates will be stated in the relevant post (for example on Instagram at @knitmcintosh). Typical mechanics may include answering a question, following the account, liking the post and tagging friends. Only one entry per person is permitted unless we explicitly allow more; multiple or automated entries will be disqualified. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted and we are not responsible for entries not received for any reason, including network or platform issues.
Unless otherwise specified, winners are selected at random by software from valid entries received by the deadline, and the draw is verified by the Promoter and/or its agents. Winners will be notified by email and/or direct message on the platform used to enter (e.g., Instagram/Twitter/Facebook) within 28 days of the closing date. Winners will only be contacted by McIntosh / James McIntosh Omnimedia Limited (for clarity, not by third parties using similar names). If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner. We will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected or arrange delivery as appropriate.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, any actual or anticipated breach of applicable law or regulation, or any other event outside our reasonable control. Any changes will be communicated to entrants as soon as reasonably possible via the original platform or page. The Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
With your consent, we may name winners and use their image and entry in our publicity materials, social media and website. Personal data will be processed only for administering the competition, contacting winners and delivering prizes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy; we will not disclose personal data to third parties without prior consent unless required by law. The winner’s name will be available on request for 28 days after the closing date by emailing [email protected]. The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest or any other social network. You are providing your information to James McIntosh Omnimedia Limited and not to any social platform. For any competition queries, please contact [email protected].
14. Social media & UGC (hashtags)
By posting content that includes our marks or hashtags (e.g., #knitmcintosh, #knitandnibble, #knititation) and tagging us, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, repost and display that content on our Sites, social channels and marketing emails, crediting your handle where practicable. You warrant you own the content and it does not infringe others’ rights.
15. Events outside our control
We’re not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., strikes, carrier issues, customs delays, extreme weather). We’ll keep you informed and perform as soon as reasonably possible.
16. Our liability to consumers
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights which cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, we’re responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach or negligence, but not for loss that is not foreseeable or for business losses.
17. Privacy & cookies
Your privacy matters. Please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (as updated from time to time) for details of how we process personal data and use cookies. These policies form part of these Terms by reference.
18. Safety & compliance (GPSR / Responsible Persons)

22.1 We may provide an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot (“AI Chatbot”) to help users obtain general information about our website, products, or services.
22.2 The AI Chatbot generates automated responses and may occasionally provide information that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or out of date. Its responses do not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, knitting, crochet or other specialist advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified professional.
22.3 You are responsible for checking the accuracy and suitability of any response before relying on it or taking action. Where information is important to a purchasing, contractual, financial, health, legal, or other significant decision, you should verify it with us or an appropriate professional.
22.4 You must not submit confidential, sensitive, or unnecessary personal information through the AI Chatbot. Information submitted may be processed by us and by third-party technology providers that support the service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
22.5 You must not use the AI Chatbot:
- (a) for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, or harmful purpose;
- (b) to infringe another person’s rights;
- (c) to introduce malicious code or attempt to interfere with, bypass, test, or gain unauthorised access to the AI Chatbot or our systems;
- (d) to generate or distribute unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, or harmful material; or
- (e) in any automated or excessively burdensome manner.
22.6 Responses generated by the AI Chatbot do not constitute an offer, contractual commitment, representation, warranty, or guarantee by us. If a response conflicts with these Terms and Conditions, information provided directly by an authorised member of our team, or another applicable written agreement, the latter will take precedence.
22.7 We may monitor, retain, or review conversations where reasonably necessary to operate and improve the AI Chatbot, maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations. Further information about how we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
22.8 The AI Chatbot may be modified, suspended, restricted, or withdrawn at any time. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
22.9 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from reliance on an AI-generated response. Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affects any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
22.10 If you require confirmation of information supplied by the AI Chatbot or wish to speak with a person, please contact us using the contact details provided on our website.
23. Product Rankings and Search Transparency
23.1 Where McIntosh displays product listings, search results, or designations such as “bestseller” or “featured”, these rankings are determined primarily by product popularity, availability, and relevance.
23.2 If any ranking, promotion, or display position is influenced by payment, sponsorship, or other commercial consideration, this will be clearly disclosed at or near the point of display, in compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
24. Complaints & customer service
We aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly. Email [email protected] with your order number and details. If we cannot resolve a dispute, you have consumer law rights to seek advice (e.g., Citizens Advice). McIntosh is not currently required to use an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider but will engage in good faith to resolve any dispute directly. If unresolved, customers may seek independent advice via Citizens Advice or an approved ADR provider.
