Honeymoon Knitting, Day 10: Munich to London (Blocking Love & Wool)

Packing the Wool (Again)

Monday morning in Munich meant one thing: fitting all the yarn, needles, lederhosen, and memories back into two suitcases. The luggage was heavier than when they’d left Peckham (the posh part), thanks to Addi treasures and several finished socks.

But the real weight was in the project bag: the McIntosh #1 jumper in PROMISE by WOOLADDICTS (LANGYARNS) was ready for its final flourish.

Knitting the Final Rows

On the flight back to London, James knit the last few sleeve stitches with the CraSy Trio and cast off with a mix of relief, pride, and mild disbelief. The Sweater Curse had been thoroughly defeated, stitched into submission with PROMISE yarn and German beer.

Dr Thomas beamed, proudly declaring himself the only man at Heathrow wearing lederhosen and sporting a freshly knitted jumper. A niche look, but memorable.

Blocking Out the Honeymoon

Back in London, James laid McIntosh #1 out to block. The stitches relaxed, the fabric bloomed, and the story of ten days, six cities, countless schnitzels, and a lot of love settled into woolly perfection.

The curse? Broken. The jumper? Finished. The memories? Knitted together forever.
